HeroTasks
๐Ÿฆธ Superpowers for the family

Turn household chores into an adventure with rewards

Parents create scheduled chores and rewards. Kids complete them in their own app, submit their day and earn points to spend on rewards, missions and fish for their aquarium. No arguing, just routine.

How it works

Three steps and a routine that keeps itself going

HeroTasks separates what parents do from what kids do. Each has their own app, with just what their role needs.

  1. 1
    ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

    Parents set the stage

From the parents app you add your kids, define chores with a time and days of the week, and give them a value in points. You also create the rewards and their price.

  2. 2
    ๐Ÿง’

    Kids complete their day

In their app they only see today's chores, sorted by time. They tick them off and, when done, tap โ€œSubmit tasksโ€. Every submission is a small win, confetti included.

  3. 3
    โœ…

    You review and approve together

You receive the submitted day, fix whatever needs fixing and approve. The points land in the kid's balance, and they decide how to spend them: rewards, fish for the aquarium, or saving up for something big.

Two apps, one family

Everyone gets their own app, everyone sees the same information

HeroTasks Parents is the control panel. HeroTasks is the app kids use. They connect with the same account and update in real time.

Why it works

More focus, better routine and the urge to finish

Designed around positive reinforcement: small, clear goals, immediate feedback and rewards chosen by the kid.

๐ŸŽฏ

Attention on one thing at a time

Every chore has its time. The kid doesn't see an endless list, just what's due now. Less scattering, more focus on finishing what's in front of them.

๐Ÿ”

A routine that repeats itself

Recurring chores show up every day at the same time. The app sets the structure, not an argument at eight in the morning.

๐Ÿ†

Immediate, visible reward

Ticking a chore gives an instant win; approving the day adds points to the balance. Effort is seen, adds up and can be spent. Positive reinforcement, not punishment.

๐Ÿงญ

Autonomy and responsibility

The kid ticks their chores and submits their day. They decide what to spend their points on. They learn to plan: save for the big reward or spend on a new fish.

๐Ÿ’ฌ

A moment to talk

The daily approval is an excuse to talk about how the day went. You correct task by task and the kid understands why. No surprises, no scolding.

โšก

Extra motivation when needed

Lightning missions with a countdown turn โ€œtidy your roomโ€ into a ten-minute challenge. Perfect for days when routine isn't enough.

๐Ÿง

Points, not blackmail

Points are never taken away for misbehaving: they are earned for what gets done. When a day doesn't work out, it's rejected and tried again tomorrow. That way the kid links effort to result and doesn't experience the app as a threat. You choose the rewards as a family, and many cost nothing: picking the movie, half an hour more at the park, an afternoon of board games.

Features

Everything you need to make the routine stick

Chores with real schedules

A chore can have several slots: โ€œGet upโ€ at 7:30 on weekdays and at 9:30 on weekends. Kids see it where it belongs.

Daily approval

The kid submits the whole day. You review it task by task, fix what doesn't add up and approve or reject. Points are added on approval.

Redeemable rewards

Every reward has a price. When requested, the points are reserved until you approve. If you reject, they go back to the balance.

Premium

Lightning missions

A one-off challenge with a countdown and bonus points, for one or several kids at once. Ideal for โ€œtidy the living room before grandma arrivesโ€.

Premium

Virtual aquarium

Kids buy fish with their points, name them and watch them grow and swim. You decide what each fish costs and can gift one.

Premium

Task groups

School chores, summer chores, holidays at grandma's. Switch the active group and the kids see a different plan without you reconfiguring anything.

Premium

The whole family

Invite another parent by email. Both approve, both see the same. Several kids, each with their own profile, avatar and optional PIN.

Premium

Editable history

Everything earned and spent is recorded. If you approved by mistake, fix the task within seven days and the balance adjusts itself.

Reminders

The kids app can send a reminder every day at the time you choose so they check their chores, without you being the one to remind them.

Private by design

Only your family sees your data. Kids don't need their own account or email, and reward purchases are always approved by you.

Frequently asked questions

What families usually ask

Do I need to install two apps?+

Yes. HeroTasks Parents is for setting up and approving; HeroTasks is the one kids use. You can install both on the same phone if your kid uses it with you, or the kids app on their tablet or phone.

How does my kid get into their app without an email?+

With your parent account. The first time, you sign in yourself in the kids app; from then on only the โ€œWho are you?โ€ screen with your kids' profiles appears. If you enable a 4-digit PIN, each kid protects their own.

What if my kid ticks a chore they didn't do?+

Nothing until you approve. In the daily approval you see every chore and can untick it before approving the day. Points are only added for what you confirm.

Can points be lost?+

No. Points are earned for what gets done and spent on what the kid chooses. When they request a reward, the points are reserved until you approve; if you reject, they return to the balance.

Can both parents use it?+

Yes, with Premium. From the Family tab you invite another adult by email: you both see the same chores, rewards and approvals, and either of you can approve. The free plan is for a single parent.

Does it work with several kids?+

Yes. Each kid has their own profile, avatar, balance and assigned chores, and the same chore can be assigned to several kids and shows up in each one's app. The free plan includes one kid; with Premium, up to five.

What are task groups?+

Sets of chores for different periods: school year, summer, holidays. Only one is active and that's the one kids see. You switch groups with one tap and the other group's chores stay saved.

Is my data safe?+

Each family can only see and change its own data, and that rule is enforced on the server, not just in the app. Kids don't have their own account, so there are no credentials of theirs to manage.

Start today: install both apps and create the first chore

First the parents app to create your family. Then the kids app, signing in with the same account. In five minutes tomorrow's routine is ready.
